Overview
This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for Caption Caddie, a product of Second Crop Creative, LLC. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy may also issue refunds at its discretion to prevent chargebacks, as described in their documentation.

Free beta
Invite-only beta access is provided at no charge for testing and feedback. No payment is collected during the beta program, so refunds do not apply. Beta access is separate from the paid subscription and 7-day free trial below.
7-day free trial
When paid plans launch, new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial with full access to Caption Caddie.
- Cancel before the trial ends — you will not be charged. Manage or cancel from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal linked in your receipt email.
- If you do not cancel — you will be charged $11.99 when the trial ends, then each month until you cancel.
- One trial per customer — unless we authorize otherwise in writing.
Paid subscriptions ($11.99/month)
After the free trial (or if no trial applies), Caption Caddie bills $11.99 per month.
- Cancel anytime. Use the Lemon Squeezy customer portal from your receipt or account email.
- No refund for the current billing period. When you cancel, your subscription does not renew, but you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
- No prorated credits for partial months.
- Auto-renewal continues until you cancel.
This is the standard subscription model: you are not billed again after cancellation, and you can use the app through the end of your paid month.
Billing errors
If you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after canceling before a renewal date, contact us within 14 days at support@captioncaddie.app. Include your order email and license key so we can investigate with Lemon Squeezy.
How to cancel or manage your subscription
- Open the link in your Caption Caddie receipt or subscription email from Lemon Squeezy.
- Sign in to the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.
- Cancel the subscription before your next renewal date (or before the trial ends to avoid the first charge).
To deactivate Caption Caddie on a specific Mac and free a device slot, use Settings → Deactivate this Mac inside the app.
